On the last day of my first Walt Disney World trip as an adult, Amy and I decided to hit the Magic Kingdom. It was a little foggy, which provided an additional sense of magic to everything.

We made our way to the Partners Statue and took everything in. Just then, the Dapper Dans appeared out of nowhere and started serenading a couple. The young man got down on one knee and popped the question to his girlfriend.  I’ll admit it: I’m a sucker for these things, and right then and there my mind was blown.

Since that time I’ve seen a few people get engaged at Walt Disney World – a couple right in that same spot. But I came across a photo that topped anything I’ve seen so far in terms of fun. I have no idea how old this image is, but I just saw it for the first time this morning:

I immediately wondered: Is that Lindsay in the front seat? That’d be my guess. The guys put the signs away quickly, they all head over to the gift shop to look at the in-ride photo, and Lindsay sees the proposal.

Also – what if Lindsay didn’t want to sit in the front seat? What if the signs were out of order? What if it said “Marry Me Will You Lindsay” – it still makes sense, but sounds a little exasperated. Or what if it said, “Lindsay You Will Marry Me.” That’s a little pushy.

I’m going to assume it all worked out in the end, and they got married and had a child named Mickey.

I did a Google search to see if I could find out any more about the photo, and you know what I learned? This goes on all the time at Disney.

Here are a few of my favorites:

I love the way this one was edited:

A little Chefs de France romance:

PUSH got involved in this one:

I miss Four For a Dollar – a LOT.

The creativity of some of these people is amazing. This one’s at the Coral Reef… Sort of.

Happily ever after…

Main Street USA (Not exactly the Dapper Dans, but the sentiment is there):

There’s the Dapper Dans:

Some DCL love:

“No time for love Dr. Jones!” (Well, maybe this once.)

A definitely fairy tale proposal:

I could post these all day.

I have friends who had a great Mickey and Minnie cake topper, and still another friend who got married at Walt Disney World.

Did you get engaged at WDW? Did you get married there? Did you involved Disney in your wedding?
