OK, I’m back.

Disney trip, holidays and everything that goes with it is now in the rear-view mirror.

I picked up a new travel column for the Boston Herald called “The Travel Guy.” It runs on Thursdays.

So that’s one of the things i’ve been up to during my short time not-updating Mousejunkies.com. I’ve also been assigned a Disney travel story, so yet again worlds collide in a happy way.

We got a great Disney ornament for Christmas from our great neighbors, and I picked up a Mickey tree skirt when I was at WDW in early December. We finally have a bit of Disney around our tree.

But most importantly, I got a monocle for Christmas. Do I need a monocle? No. Who would? (OK, fancy British gentlemen and that guy from the Monopoly game.) I’ve just always wanted one so I could express great surprise by letting it drop from my eye into a glass. I achieved that dream on New Year’s Eve.

Hey – dreams do come true.

So… Now that I’m back, it’s time to return to the Disney stuff. Oh, and I know I owe a lot of you an email. I’m on it.
