I’ll cut right to it: The Epic Mousejunkie Journey 2012 just got cheaper. Anyone who has booked – you just saved a pile of cash! The head honcho at Blue Sky Journeys worked some Disney magic and got an even better reduced rate for this awesome gathering of Mousejunkies. (Updated invoices are forthcoming.)
Here’s the lowdown:
What is it?
The Epic Mousejunkie Journey at Walt Disney World takes place Oct. 11-15, 2012. It’s five days/four nights at the Coronado Springs Resort, four day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper, one day admission to DisneyQuest, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach and a few other extras.
Like What?
A two-day Mousejunkie scavenger hunt designed to test your Mousejunkie addiction. (Win, and you could be the new Mousejunkie in the next book!) a limited edition T-shirt, laminated badge and lanyard, gifts and prizes. There will also be special dinners where you can meet and mingle with other Mousejunkies.
So how much is it?
Here’s the part I’m excited about. Originally the entire trip with all the trimmings was $1,980 based on two adults. Now… NOW, I say… It’s dropped $530 to $1,450. And that still gets you the whole trip with all the extras.
Can I add stuff?
Sure. The Dining Plan is available at a cost of $206 per adult, or $60 per child. A total of four people can be on the same reservation, with each additional adult @ $405 or child @ $327.50.
And you can buy Bill an extra spicy Bloody Mulligan at the ESPN Club at no additional cost!
Really?
Yes, really. Or I can buy you one. Either way. I just want my Bloody Mulligan amongst friends.

An artist's rendition of Bill with his Mousejunkie friends at ESPN. Don't let the lack of pants frighten you. Donald doesn't wear pants.
As I said, anyone who has put a deposit down – your trip just got a lot less expensive! And if you want to get on board, here’s how: Go to the Blue Sky Journeys news/events page here, and lock-in your trip for a $100 deposit. That’s right – $100 and you’re in. Final payment is due 60 days prior to check-in.

Discussion
Very curious about the timeframe of volume #3 of the Mousejunkies saga !! We finally took the leap outside our non-Disney timeshare window (October, with Marriott), and will as a family of three be staying on property for the FIRST TIME this coming June 2012 !!! Was wondering if in addition to everything included in Volume #2, there may be more insight you could provide about what we can expect from Port Orleans French Quarter??? We live in Downingtown , PA (roughly 45 mins outside Philadelphia) and haven’t been able to locate Volume #1 in the series and were not sure whether or not there was any other info imparted in said edition not found in #2?? We are Mousejunkies AND DAMN PROUD OF IT ! We hope as husband and wife to get on a more frequent schedule down to glorious Central Florida as the children age over the next 10 years or so and move into adulthood. We’ve enjoyed Disney multiple times with them, just hope to do it more in our latter years since we became mommies and daddies early on in life….yup, we get to be 20-somethings in our 40-something (and beyond ) years . People wonder why we plan to do repeated visits to the majesty that is Disney over the future years, and the only thing we say anymore is “If you don’t get and appreciate the magic, we shall not waste our time planning our next excursion trying to convince you….it will just be your loss”. In any event thanks for your book #2, and thank you in advance for any insight as to where I might locate #1. Also thanks in advance for any info on POFQ you can send our way…hope to hear from you
Sincerely,

“and by plunder…” I mean sweet talking the cuties in Germany out of free beers. (Yes, I have been known to do that. My flirt skills are super-human)
To Jay & Julie,
We stayed POFQ and absolutely loved it!! You won’t be disappointed! Great atmosphere and great prices. The food court was great and the location was perfect. The transportation only shares busses with Riverside so that was not too crowded and easy to get busses. My funny story about the rooms – my husband said the curtain that divided the bathroom area from the bedroom area reminded him of Streetcar Named Desire. So everytime he went behind the curtain he’d yell – “STELLA!” Had us in stiches every time!
