Just saw this over at WDWnewstoday.com – Peter Pan’s Flight is getting an interactive queue.

Says WDWnewstoday.com: “work will be happening in the queue at Peter Pan’s Flight between January 16th and March 6th.”

I think this is fantastic news. It was great for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the Haunted Mansion, and I think it’ll be perfect for Peter Pan. Here’s why: I secretly (OK, not so secretly) love that attraction. There is a magic about it that sets the stage for Fantasyland perfectly. It makes me feel like a big kid. As a wise man quoted in the second edition of “Mousejunkies” said (and I’m paraphrasing), “when you hear Peter Pan say, ‘Here we goooo!’ you know Disney is taking it to a completely new level.”

I am completely transported by this scene. I want to jump out and live down there.

The thing is, lines accumulate very quickly at The Pan. And I honestly think that the Peter Pan queue is the worst in all of WDW. I just winds around corners, chains and back and forth. Not much going on there. If there’s more than a 15 minute wait, I won’t get in line. Again – love the attraction, hate the queue.

I think one of the things Disney does right is making your wait times feel effortless. There’s always plenty to look at, and in some cases plenty to do as you stand in line. The way I see it, it’s hard to ask for more than what we’re going to get once the Fantasyland expansion is complete, so plussing the queues makes me feel even better about how the Imagineers are looking at the Magic Kingdom. It’s almost like getting a mini-attraction before the main attraction.

I don’t focus on the negative at WDW, or life in general really, but I’m curious: What do you think is the worst queue at WDW? Which attraction needs an interactive queue the most?

So… Great news for this fan of The Pan.

And now I want to ride it. This’ll have to do:
