Day 4: Extraterrestrial Mickey, boring VP stuff and Mousejunkies

Blogger Kate.

Today we planned to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

We would also change hotels today. We were moving from Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge to Bay Lake Towers, right near the Magic Kingdom.

There was also the final “Mousejunkies” meet tonight. A bunch of Mousejunkies came together at Walt Disney World to hang out, do a scavenger hunt, and the winner would be featured in the next book and win a golden pair of mouse ears.

First we packed our stuff since we were moving hotels. Once we packed we watched a SUPER boring Vice Presidential news thing. I sat on the balcony for half of it. After it seemed like hours we headed to the bus stop to get on the bus to the Magic Kingdom. That’s because Bay Lake Towers, our new hotel, is near the Magic Kingdom. We took the monorail to Bay Lake Towers when the bus arrived at the Magic Kingdom. Luckily we didn’t have to carry our stuff because we were having it delivered to our room.

We found our room and just relaxed in it. The room was so much brighter than Kidani. Our room was extremely close to the lobby and best of all there was still a balcony – although the view wasn’t great. We could see the back of the Contemporary and boats moving back and forth and people walking by. I guess it wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t the Magic Kingdom view.

My mom and I relaxing at our hotel. Mom's on the phone.

We collected dust for a while until Stephen came and picked us up. I don’t know where Judy was. He drove us to Hollywood Studios and dropped us off at the entrance, and then we entered my favorite park.

First we went to a restaurant since it was lunch time. I got chicken nuggets, or, chicken nugget because it seemed like a small portion.

Then we all rode my favorite ride, Star Tours (except my mom who was still sick. It really shakes you around and it would probably make her throw up again.) I rode it again, then we did a bunch of other stuff that I forgot. Then we went to the Animation Courtyard. There was a movie before you go in and inside there was this thing called Animation Academy. It’s where you learn how to draw Disney characters. The first time we went through we drew Mickey. Mine was extraterrestrial.

My extraterrestrial Mickey drawing.

My dad’s had a mustache.

Mickey mustache.

And my mom’s was plain and very good.

Mom's Mickey.

The second time we went through we drew Tigger. Everyone’s looked normal except my dad’s, which had one eye.

My dad's weird Tigger drawing.

After Animation Academy we did Star Tours again. Then we headed to Downtown Disney for the “Mousejunkies” meet. We said goodbye to Judy, who arrived in the middle of the day, and Stephen.

We all met at Raglan Road, an Irish restaurant. Once all the Mousejunkies arrived, we took our seats. The winner of the Mousejunkies scavenger hunt was announced. The winner was Christopher Lamb. He was wicked nice and did a great job. He knew a lot about Disney to win this scavenger hunt.

We ate, laughed and chatted.

It was also my parents’ 17th wedding anniversary.

Before I was born.

Soon it got late and we took a bus back to the hotel. The moment my head hit the pillow I was asleep.
