Just found this photo my friend Kevin took one night at Hollywood Studios last week. It cracked me up, especially since I had experienced a few “Jedi Mind Tricks” – a Gatorade-colored concoction foisted upon us as we arrived.
OK, they didn’t twist my arm. But quite often it’s what precipitates that look in my eyes. It’s usually at this point I think grabbing the actor’s battle ax is a good idea. No, I didn’t. But it did cross my mind and make me giggle like a weirdo.
And I even got to try a blue drink that looked suspiciously like Aunt Beru’s Blue Juice Milk. But only one. It was rather tart.
Also, it scares me that I’m bigger than a Gamorrean Guard. I think I can take him.
For Stern fans: I was looking for Darth Nihilus, but he was no where to be found. The Gamorrean Guard was the best I could do.
Also, look in the background. See that CM guide with the plaid vest? See the guy next to him in the black shirt and cowboy hat? That’s Dave Filoni, director of “The Clone Wars.” Though I didn’t know it at the time.

As Soon as I saw the word Gamorean Guard I thought of Stern LOL
“Uhh, I’m Darth Nihilus.”
“Do you still live with your mother?”
“No, do you???”
It is spelled Gamorrean.
(muffled) “Gamorrean Guard.”
Was that the same interview as the trekkie that loved Picard?
“I love when he says engage.”
“What does he say?”
“Engage.”
“What is it?”
“Engage. He says, Number One . . . engage.”
“What?”
Cool! I hope they will still be there during our stay on June 11 and 12th. June 12th is my B-day. Any tips for the birthday boy?
@Bart – I love that interview. Here’s the cool thing: That guy became a regular fixture on one of our morning shows, “Toucher and Rich” a couple years back. His name was Dungeon Master Jim. He’s an attorney, and he would give the comic book/fantasy/sci fi update on Fridays. He was a great sport about it all. But there was absolutely no mistaking that voice.
@Kevin – It’s a damned fool who can’t find at least two ways to spell a word.
