Uhura – Ulana… Get it?

Anyway, the Hawaiian resort is “Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa.” I just hadn’t read much about the “spa” part. Here’s some info I found:

The spa at Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, located in Ko Olina, Hawai‘i, now has a name: Ulana. That’s the Hawaiian word for still or calm.

With 15 treatment rooms, a comprehensive outdoor water area and a separate spa for teens, Ulana will be a full-service spa featuring treatments for individuals, couples and entire families. Your Clients can spend time relaxing with a variety of romantic options, including signature Hawaiian and rainwater therapies, a couples massage room, a mineral pool, and indoor and outdoor treatments.

Ulana will also celebrate Hawaiian culture, both in its design and its therapies.

The naming of Ulana is one more step in the ongoing progress of Aulani, which is scheduled to open on Aug. 29, 2011.

Do you plan on going to Aulani? I think I’m going to take the plunge before too long. I’ve never taken a flight that long, but I think this warrants it.
