Wha???
A new study by Avvo.com, a site that offers free ratings and profiles licensed doctors and lawyers in the U.S., has found that Orlando is the single most dangerous spring break destination in the country.
Yes, that Orlando. Home of Mickey, Minnie and $13 churros. The place we love and frequent.
What could possibly happen – the Yeti actually starts working on Expedition Everest and swipes a car full of college students off the Forbidden Mountain?
Actually, no. The list of the 25 most dangerous spring break destinations was compiled by weighing factors such as violent crime risk, murder risk, rape risk, fatal car crashes and how all these elements ranked in the U.S.
In fact, 10 of the top 25 most dangerous spring break cities are in the state of Florida.
“Spring break is a time for fun but you have to be careful,” said Mark Britton, founder and CEO of Avvo. “Avvo’s mission is to help people make informed decisions, and where you go for spring break is an important one.”
“Well, stop cutting in line and pretending your family is ahead of you at Soarin’,” Bill Burke, author of Mousejunkies said. “And don’t ram that stroller into my ankles.”
OK, not that last part. I made that up. But the whole “Orlando is dangerous” thing is true.
Below is the list of the most dangerous spring break destinations (in order):
- Orlando, FL
- Daytona Beach, FL
- Las Vegas, NV

Well, thank God Walt Disney World is NOT in Orlando…LOL
I’m number 8! Yet I would rather be in Orlando.
Orlando isn’t that bad but Kissimmee will chew you up and spit you out!
Anyone else notice that 10 out of the 25 places are in Florida . . .
I’m with Keith, that Kissimmee is a scary ‘hood.
