Well, there’s one more Disney trip in the books.
Here are a few quick thoughts on my Dec. 5 trip…
- It was cold. It didn’t bother me a lot, but look at the photo above to see how everyone is dressed. Think I’m exaggerating? Heather Leigh Carroll over at the Disney Travel Examiner is reporting that cold weather is shutting down Disney attractions. I know! It’s crazy!
- The crowds were pretty light. I can’t even recall a long wait.
- The Magic Kingdom looked amazing all dressed up in its Christmas best.
- Walt and I drank around the World at Epcot. Well, Walt did. I pooped out in Germany. More on that later.
- We got to meet up with friends Rose and Patrick – Cast Members who are not only great people, but perfect representatives of Walt Disney World.
- I had dinner with friends Judy and Stephen, and got to spend some time with them. I’ve been down to WDW so much this year that I think they’re getting sick of me at this point.
- Raglan Road remains one of my favorite restaurants. The scallop forest – or whatever it’s called, I’ll look it up – was mind-blowing.
- The Biergarten – mmmmnot so much.
- It’s kind of hard to find your hotel room at Saratoga Springs when you can’t remember what section of the resort you’re staying in. Yeah, I just got there, threw my bags, shouted, “I’m home!” and ran off to Downtown Disney. Didn’t take the time to look around at where I was staying.
- I would not have had a chance to do any of this without the generosity of my friend Walt. Thank you, Walt!
- It was cold. I know, I already said that. But it’s worth mentioning twice.
So… I’m back. I’ll hit the blog with a few things in the coming days.

I wish I’d had the chance to meet up with you…we were at disney from the 3-10…we’re already planning next years trip….any chance you’ll have a meet-up at some point?
We read your book just a few months ago, too funny our first trip home, we just bought into DVC this year, you were also there. We were there from Dec 3-13th, and we are still thawing out:) Can not wait to read the next book.
Visited Disney 11/23-11/30. This was our 4th trip in the last 5 years. Always go between The breakfast pizza still tasted just as good. Stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort this time. Typically stay at Port Orleans Riverside. Decided to try something new…didn’t turn out so good. My husband and I neither have tattoos, nor smoke, so CBR was a bit of a suprise. Plus the sheer size alone was crazy. Luckily I forked over the extra $200 to stay closer to Centertown.
Anyway, going thru Disney withdrawal. My husband, better known as “Grumpy”, wants to go somewhere else for our winter vacation. Is he nuts??
I am going for my 41st time in may taking along a friend its her first time, what do u think we should do first? she is a huge figment fan but i feel like she maybe let down since there is anot alot of figment,
